With the recent update of Minecraft, searching for diamonds has become even tougher due to the spooky Deep Dark Biome generating underground. Mining at Y level -58
Diamonds are usually found as ore blocks. Below a particular Y level, these ores are dispersed throughout the overworld. Players should be aware that the environment and ore generation drastically altered when the 1.18 Caves and Cliffs part 2 update was made available. To make room for additional blocks to be generated, the bedrock layer moved down 64 levels.
This has changed the ore generations and frequency. The players can find most of the diamonds at Y level -58, preferably by mining.
