Genshin Impact 3.4 Release Date, Characters, and Patch Notes

Genshin Impact 3.4
09/01/2023/ Genshin Impact 3.4 Update / Credits – Genshin Impact

Alhaitham and Yaoyao are new characters who will be included in Genshin Impact 3.4, along with a surprise new mini-area called the Desert of Hadramaveth. New opponents, a monster, and even its questline centred on discovering a long-lost oasis are all there in this sandstorm-ravaged territory.

The yearly Lantern Rite Festival is also quickly approaching, bringing with it its well-liked selection of freebies, mini-games for the occasion, and the chance to free-hire Yaoyao, as it did with Yun Jin(opens in new tab) during the festival last year. We’ve also got some new clothes for Ayaka and Lisa this time around, modelled on Fontaine and Sumeru respectively, much as we did with Keqing and Ningguang last year.

Overall, there is a tonne of information—much more than I had anticipated for a mid-region update. I’ll go over all the information on the Genshin Impact 3.4 update in this article, including its release date, main characters, major events, and specifics about the new region. If you’re reading this on the day it was published, be sure to collect the Genshin Impact codes(opens in a new tab) from the livestream for some free Primogems.

Genshin Impact 3.4 Release Date

The release day for Genshin Impact 3.4 is January 18, 2023. Before and after the normal maintenance time, Primogem reimbursement will be provided. Alhaitham and Xiao’s banners are accessible in 3.4’s first phase, along with Yaoyao’s four-star boost, while Hu Tao’s and Yelan’s banners will be made available in 3.4’s second phase.

Genshin Impact 3.4 Characters

In addition to three replays, Genshin Impact 3.4 features two new characters:

Alhaitham: If you’ve recently played Genshin, you should be familiar with this five-star Anemo swordsman as he plays a significant role in the Sumeru Archon quest. Alhaitham is a travelling writer from the Akademiya who fights with Chisel-Light Mirrors, infusing his assaults with Dendro, and then launching further attacks that resemble Xingqiu’s Raincutter burst. On January 18, the first stage of Genshin Impact 3.4 will feature his banner. The Epitome Invocation weapon banner will also include his five-star Light of Foliar sword.

One of the most long-rumoured Genshin characters, Yaoyao has finally been revealed. Many people have been waiting for the four-star Dendro polearm user since the Moonchase Festival in 2021. Yaoyao is a healer with a peculiar-sounding skill. She can heal you while also inflicting damage on your foes by firing radishes from her rucksack. On the Alhaitham and Xiao banners, she will be available as a boosted four-star starting on January 18, however, you may get her for free during Lantern Rite.
For replays, Xiao appears with Althaitham in the first phase, and around February 8 Hu Tao and Yelan will appear in the second phase.
