Valorant Patch 7.05
One significant feature of this update is Riot’s determination to tackle competitive rank boosting. The development team has identified a rise in rank boosting through the use of bots and real players, and they are taking action to combat this issue. In response, the update introduces restrictions for Ascendant players and higher, limiting their ability to invite players below the Platinum rank to their competitive parties. Riot Games emphasizes its commitment to monitoring and banning accounts suspected of engaging in such behaviour.
Balancing Astra
Astra, a versatile agent known for her unique abilities, receives buffs aimed at improving her overall performance. Astra’s Astral Form has been adjusted to provide her with more agency and information while in this state. This change allows Astra players to react more effectively to enemy movements and utility usage, mitigating her vulnerability during Astral Form.
Map Rotation Update
The map “Sunset” makes its debut in Valorant’s competitive mode map rotation. This addition expands the map pool for competitive play, providing players with fresh challenges and strategies. “Sunset” joins other popular maps, including Breeze, Ascent, Haven, Bind, Split, and Lotus.
Additional Changes and Bug Fixes
Valorant patch 7.05 also addresses various bugs and issues to enhance the overall gaming experience. These changes include adjustments to audio settings, fixes for agent abilities, and improvements to player behaviour-related concerns. The development team has resolved issues such as audio volume defaults, Astra’s Cosmic Divide audio, the interaction between Deadlock’s Sonic Sensor and Gekko’s Wingman, and more.
Players will also benefit from quality-of-life improvements, such as warnings for conflicting key binds and fixes for chat restrictions during real-time interventions. Riot Games aims to create a more enjoyable and fair environment for all Valorant players.
As Valorant continues to evolve and address player feedback, updates like 7.05 demonstrate Riot Games’ commitment to maintaining a balanced and competitive gaming experience. Players can look forward to these improvements as they continue their journey in the fast-paced world of Valorant.
