#01. Put Players in the Dark

“Darkness” will be granted when approaching within about 20 blocks of Warden. A dark state is a state in which it repeatedly darkens and brightens, and you can only see up to about 10 blocks away from yourself.

Although the duration of darkness is short, Warden in Minecraft will overwrite the darkness as many times as you are near Warden. Also, in the dark, you cannot see far even if you use a night-vision potion. When it gets dark, no one knows where to escape…

#02. Search Mode Features

Warden appears in search mode. In search mode, it searches around by sensing the sounds and smells of the surroundings while beating the heart slowly.  I haven’t noticed this yet when I’m far from Warden or when I sense it once or twice.

The range that a warden in Minecraft can detect sounds is up to about 15 blocks ahead, and the type of sound that can be detected is the same as the scale sensor, and it is possible to detect any sound.  However, if the distance to Warden is too close or it is continuously detected, it will shift to tracking mode.

The sounds of all actions such as “walking”, “running”, “landing”, “breaking / placing blocks”, “swimming”, “opening / closing chests”, “eating”, “drinking”, and “shooting arrows” are detected. (For details, refer to the table of sounds that can be detect by the scale sensor above.)

#03. Tracking Modes

In The Hunt mode, you dash while making a fast-beating sound to chase and attack the detected target. Once in tracking mode, it has a complete grasp of the position of the detected object.

Furthermore, it will continue to chase the object unless it is catch by an obstacle. In addition, Warden’s dash is about the same speed as the player’s dash, so it’s pretty hard to escape. When the detected target dies or loses sight of it at a certain distance from Warden, it shifts from tracking mode to exploration mode.
