Ever wondered, how many Species of Minecraft Trees are there in the game? Wood is the basic thing in Minecraft. The first thing you do after coming into the game is to chop some wood. We can make sticks, charcoal, items, and much more. Today we are going to see every type of wood, its uses, special features, and growing method.

All Types of Trees in Minecraft:

Well for your information, there are almost 9 varieties of trees in Minecraft. They are scattered all over the vast world within Minecraft. Every tree does not appear that easily. Some are very rare. So, these are the 9 trees and their traits:-

1. Oak Tree:

Minecraft Oak Trees

The Oaktree in Minecraft is the most basic tree. It is readily available everywhere. Oak is usually the most used wood in the game. However, Oak can be of different colors. Depending upon the biome they appear in.

Oak grows in Mountains, Plains, Riversides, Swamps, Savannas, Jungles, and Dark Forests. Moreover, Oak is also desirable to obtain apples. The farm of Oaktree in Minecraft is the most suitable farm to start in the game.

2. Birch Tree:

Well, after Oak, Birch is the tree in Minecraft that is found so easily. Birch has the appearance of bark with black spots on it. It also has a pale log if you strip it down.

Birch grows in Forests, Plains, and woody mountains. Though the Birch tree in Minecraft has different color compared to Oak, the functionality is the same.

3. Spruce Tree in Minecraft:

When the gamers decide to make any type of home decor or furniture design, Spruce wood is what they choose. Because of the texture and color of this wood, Spruce is the favorite for Building. It is chocolaty brown in color.

Spruce trees are found in Giant Tree Taiga, Giant Spruce Taiga, Snowy Mountains, Snowy Tundra, Snowy Taiga, Taiga, and Wooded Mountains biomes. They can be easily grown using bone meal.

4. Jungle Wood:

When you see trees to be very tall, almost 30 blocks of height. If the logs are in a 2*2 manner. This only means one thing. That you are in a Jungle Biome. Therefore, you will find a lot of jungle trees in Minecraft. Jungle trees are great for making treehouses. They are also great for growing Coca Beans.

They are only present in few biomes. Thus making them very rare. Their natural habitats are Jungle, Bamboo Jungle, and Jungle Edge biomes.

5. Acacia Trees in Minecraft:

The trees of Acacia are one of the most beautiful trees in the game. Despite their irregular growth patterns and the fact that they are also one of the rarest trees in Minecraft. However, players use them because of their Reddish-Orange appearance.

They are only available in one biome. That is Savanna. And it is not easy to find this Biome very easily. Thus, you have to explore a lot to find this biome.

6. DarkOakwood Trees

Considering the fact that You might have seen every type of forest mentioned until. But I am sure that you haven’t encountered any Dark forest yet. And if you have, then congratulations, you have seen the rarest Biomes of trees in Minecraft.

As the name suggests, dark Oaktree is an Oak tree but dark in color. It is present in a 2*2 growth configuration. Dark Oaktree can only be grown by placing 4 dark wood saplings together.

They are obtained by the dark forest and Woodland Mansion, Which also Spawns in a Dark forest. So to find one, you either have to explore one continuously. Or you can trade a Woodland Mansion Map with a cartographer.

Let us go to the Nether for a while. We can see two types of wood there. Also, they have some special properties which I will tell you in a bit.

7. Crimson Stem:

Crimson Stem is a very rare type of tree in Minecraft found only in the Nether. it is Reddish-Purple in color. They are only grown on Nylim using bonemeal.

There are several features of Crimson. That they are fireproof. Yes, you read that correctly. Being the native of the Nether, for some reason Crimson is Fireproof. Also, they have some bright objects on them, called Shroom.

8. Warped Stem:

Another type of wood/fungus available in the Nether is the Warped Stem. Although, they are the stem of huge fungus. They act like wood when cut down. They are of Cyan color. And like Crimson Grown onWarped Nylim.

They have the same property as crimson. They are fireproof and bear the glowing objects: Shrooms.

Finally, after the update of 1.17, trees in Minecraft got another member. Well actually it is not a new tree, moreover, it is a variety of the same tree.

9. Azalea Trees(Minecraft):

Well, if you have played the latest version(Minecraft 1.17), you may have seen this tree. But for those, who haven’t. The Azalea tree in Minecraft is a flower that is over Oaktrees. They are grown using Moss block. Once the Moss block grows, it turns into an Azalea tree.

The Azalea tree can be one block tall or as tall as a standard Oaktree. Then you can harvest the beautiful Azalea Flowers by using a shear. You can only find them in lush caves.
