Velocity Gaming: Champions of Skyesports Pro Invitational 2.0

The Skyesports Pro-Invitational 2.0 tournament has concluded, guess who are the winners of the tournament its none other than Velocity gaming beating Enigma gaming by a match Score of 3-2.

There were 12 teams initially, and 8 teams qualified for the tournament. They competed against each other for the winner’s title. 

The eight teams in the playoffs were:

  • Velocity Gaming
  • Enigma Gaming
  • Reckoning Esports
  • LFO
  • W Streak Esports Alpha
  • Medal Esports
  • Septem Exierant
  • Revenant Esports

Velocity Gaming started the tournament in Group D. They won 2 matches and got qualified for the playoffs. Reckoning, Revenant also managed to qualify for the playoffs.

The eight teams fought against each other in a double-elimination bracket. 

Skyesports Pro-Invitational 2.0 tournament Grand Finals Velocity Gaming vs Enigma gaming

The first match of velocity gaming was against Septem Exierant in the playoffs. They easily won the game by the score line of 2-0.

Then Velocity Gaming faced Reckoning esports in the upper finals they were successful in maintaining their winning streak by beating Reckoning with a 2-0 score.

Then comes the Grand finals where Velocity gaming faced Enigma gaming. Enigma gaming entered the Grand finals by defeating two teams LFO and Medal Esports.

Grand Finals Map Breakdown

The Grand finals were in BO5 format where the first map was Breeze which got picked by Enigma gaming. Enigma’s strong attack and VLT’s weak defense got the scores to 5-7 in the first half for VLT. Enigma won the first map by 13-6 and secured a score of 1-0 in the grand finals.

The second map was Haven where enigma was attackers and velocity was defenders. Enigma crushed the VLT’s defense to keep a leading score of 9-3. VLT managed to counter back winning 8 rounds. Enigma broke the winning streak of VLT and won the game by 13-11 updating their score to 2-0 in the tournament.

The third map was Icebox. VLT was at a great disadvantage as enigma was ahead of VLT by 2-0, VLT was under great pressure to win this map. Enigma and Velocity both were equal 6-6 till the first half. VLT won 6 rounds in a streak closing the match with 13-7 and forcing Enigma to the 4th map.

The fourth map was bind VLT completely dominated the map with the half-round score of 9-3. They won the fourth map with a score of 13-4 by continuing their dominance.

Fifth and the last map was pearl VLT started strong by keeping the half-round score to 7-5. Enigma came back in the second half, reaching eleven rounds first. Still, VLT managed to win the tournament by a final score of 3-2.

VLT Secured the first spot by winning three maps Icebox, Bind, and Pearl.
