Velocity Gaming, formed in 2017, started its journey with the famous PC Game CS: GO and Rainbow Six Seige. After a successful start, they announced their entry into Mobile Gaming with PUBG Mobile (now Battleground Mobile India). Velocity Gaming was registered as an Indian Esports team in 2019 by the Indian businessman Manoj “SENTINEL” Kashyap. VLT was one of the top teams in PUBG Mobile and now is at the top in the Indian Valorant eSports scenario. They played 3 games in VLT APAC but now it is the end of the run for Velocity Gaming in Valorant APAC Stage 1. Can we expect changes in Velocity Gaming Valorant Team after the heavy loss?

Velocity Gaming owner tweeted that there might be changes in the Valorant team. Even the team manager Euphoria said that there will be a lot of major changes in the team post-Valorant APAC. The current Valorant roster has given out great results in the SA region but failed to do it in APAC.

The current Valorant roster consists of Anuj “Amaterasu” Sharma, Tejas “rite2ace” Sawant, Vibhor Vaid, Sagnik “Hellff” Roy, Agney “Marzil” Koushik, Mohit “mw1” Wakle, Debanjan “Deathmaker” Das. Amaterasu, rite2ace, Vibhor, Hellff, and Deathmaker represented Velocity gaming in Valorant APAC.

Out of 3 matches, they won their first match and lost the other two. The performance was far below expectations and fans were highly disappointed with the results. Speculations were that there will be a change or two but the management was discarding all rumors. However, after the owner, Manoj Kashyap tweeted about the change, the community was shaken on TwitterTwitter.

As per the recent tweet by VLT Sentinal, the announcement is scheduled a month from now on 28th of April.

What Changes Can We Expect?

As per rumors and recent history, there will be some changes in the squad and management. We can expect a VCT experienced coach for the team. Velocity Gaming Valorant team needs a coach now as they need a proper guide.

The team has failed to close maps even after taking a good lead because of a lack of experience. Mohit “mw1” Wakle might return to the team as he had taken a break from competitive to complete his studies, so we can now expect him to return into the main five or a rotational substitute. And Agney “Marzil” Koushik might get an exit from Velocity Gaming or have a change in his role as he hasn’t played a lot with the team in recent times.
