Genshin Impact’s latest version is 2.5, which was released a few weeks earlier. Along with every update, there are usually new hidden achievements added to the game. These aren’t displayed in any of the Achievement Cards, so you don’t know what they are until you actually complete them. The main purpose of these achievements is to reward players for utilising certain specific aspects of gameplay correctly. In case you need a few extra Primogems for just that one more pull or you simply like completing all in-game content, this article is for you.
Here’s 5 new hidden achievements added to Genshin in Version 2.5:
- Basically Harmless (5 Primogems)
“Defeat a Specter that has not accumulated any Fury.”
Specters are new overworld mobs that were introduced to the game with Inazuma a few patches ago. They accumulate Fury when they’re hit with strong/high DMG-dealing attacks. For this achievement, first, you need to find a Specter in the open world in Teyvat. In case you don’t know any Specter spawn locations, you can find them under the ‘Easy’ mobs section in the Adventure Handbook. Then, you just need to auto-navigate.
To complete it, just kill a Specter with very weak attacks.
Tip: Use a low-levelled character or weapon so that it doesn’t accumulate Fury.
2. Impeccable Judgement (5 Primogems)
“Only shoot down your real opponent…”
Version 2.5 introduced a new weekly boss to the game. You need to unlock Magatsu Mitake Narukami no Mikoto – ‘Raiden no Inazuma Tono’, or the Raiden Shogun boss (in simpler terms) before you can complete this achievement. You can unlock this boss after completing Raiden Shogun’s Story Quest – Act II.
Enter the boss fight and deal damage to her. After some time, she’ll enter a phase in which she creates multiple illusions. The ‘special illusion’ is the one that’s throwing X-slashes at you as attacks. To unlock this achievement, just identify this illusion and destroy it.
Tip: Make sure you have a character with a shield in your party to give you enough time to find the right illusion.
3. Hard Landing (5 Primogems)
“Bring a climbing Bathysmal Vishap down.”
For this achievement, you will have to destroy the wall that the Bathysmal Geovishaps stand on. This occurs only during certain phases of the world boss fight.
First, teleport to Enkanomiya’s Dainichi Mikoshi and go to fight the Coral Defenders – ‘Bathysmal Vishap Herd’ world boss. You can then fight the Vishaps or just wait for them to cast their skills. Do this until one of them goes on top of a wall on the periphery of the battlefield. Then, all you need to do is break the wall to unlock this achievement.
Tip: It’s helpful to have a claymore user in your party since they break the wall the fastest.
4. Beware of Angry Dog (5 Primogems)
“Defeat a roaring Rifthound.”
The easiest way to complete this achievement is in the Slumbering Court Domain. This domain is located on Serai Island in Inazuma, to the north of Amakumo Peak. For this achievement, you just need to kill a large Rifthound while it is roaring. However, the large Rifthounds only roar when there are 1 or more smaller Rifthounds near it. Hence, make sure you don’t kill the smaller ones before it reaches this phase. The easiest way to complete this achievement is to reduce its HP to a really low stage and then just kill it as soon as it roars. Simply exiting the domain when it roars will also unlock this achievement for you.
In case your Adventure Rank is too low for the domain, you can also do the same thing against a large Rifthound in the open world to finish the achievement.
Tip: Make sure you have a healer in your party since Rifthounds cause ‘Corrosion’, which continuously drains HP.
5. Inugami’s End (5 Primogems)
“Destroy two Rifthound Skulls within a short time.”
This achievement requires you to fight the Golden Wolflord – ‘Nameless King of the Rift’ boss in Genshin Impact. This new boss was added to the game recently, and can be found on Tsurumi Island in Inazuma. It is located in a large, empty arena towards the southern end of the island. There are various phases in this boss fight as well. For this achievement, you need to fight and deal damage to the boss until it generates a shield for itself. When it does, 3 skulls will spawn around the arena. You need to break any 2 of these skulls within a short period of time to unlock the achievement.
Tip: Use a geo character like Ningguang, Zhongli or Noelle to break the skulls since they do it the fastest.
