PUBG Battlegrounds servers have entered maintenance. So if you were wondering why the PUBG servers are down, or about their status you’ve got your answer. The PUBG Battlegrounds servers will be live once again after the 20.2 update is complete.
What is The PUBG Battlegrounds Server Maintenance Schedule?
For the PC players, you’ll be seeing the new 20.2 update in PUBG Battlegrounds very soon. They have also updated it on their official twitter account:
[PC] Live servers will enter maintenance for 8 hours starting Nov 8 4:30pm PST / 7:30pm EST / Nov 9 1:30am CET / 9:30am KST.

The timing for the PUBG Battlegrounds server maintenance schedule is as below:
- 4:30 PM PST on Nov 8, 2022 to 12:30 AM PST on Nov 9, 2022
- 1:30 AM to 9:30 AM CET on Nov 9, 2022
- 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM KST on Nov 9,2022
As for the console players we will be getting the update a bit later:
- 8:00 PM PST on Nov 16, 2022 – 3:00 AM PST on Nov 17, 2022
- 5:00 AM – 12:00 PM CET on Nov 17, 2022
- 1:00 PM – 8:00 PM KST on Nov 17, 2022

What’s New in The PUBG Battlegrounds 20.2 Update?
Deston and Karakin will be coming back to the normal maps once again from the respective regions. This leaves us with Erangel, Miramar and Taego as ranked maps. Vehicle spawns will be adjusted in Erangel as well as Miramar. The most adjustments are with Erangel. According to reports from players, they could only find a few types of vehicles on the map of Erangel within a limited area. Canted sight is now available for the O12. Food truck’s health is lesser by 500 hitpoints. Sound of the footsteps without running is much lesser now.
PUBG Battlegrounds has made several major changes to the Folded Shield in the new update 20.2. Now you will be able to carry the folded shield around at 10km/h. Grenade and weapon damages for the shield are more i.e. 200 and 1800 respectively. It has lesser installation time and is now reusable. You can even see the durability of the shield when put in your inventory and it won’t reset.
Whole New Matchmaking System:
We discovered through player feedback and gameplay that players were more in need of a relaxed atmosphere where they could test new ideas and experience more kills. The current matchmaking mechanism is built as matchmaking in Ranked (based on team’s average MMR). Current squad play mechanics will be preserved by this revamped matchmaking system for Normal Matches, which will put more of an emphasis on individual metrics than team composition. Although, after this update, PUBG will continue to ‘closely follow your feedback‘ and make improvements to the matchmaking algorithm.
Some Bug Fixes:
The problem where female characters’ ankles were visible when wearing Lipovka Slacks with Ankle Bandolier Boots has been resolved. Taego’s Multi Care Package drops offer a variety of potent goodies, but PUBG devs also saw that teams that got these items ended up being a little too beneficial throughout the game. As a result, they chose to lower the maximum number of Small Care Packages that we could spawning in Taego.
- The problem of allies instantly resurrecting when carried while prone by a player has been fixed.
- It was resolved that when a player died after the UAZ’s wheels exploded, the Death Cam did not display the UAZ that the player was riding.
- The problem with parties failing to function properly after the party host invites a participant through Discord and departs the team has been resolved.
- Fixed the problem where players had to press F7 twice to deactivate Instant Volume Reducer when it was applied to a separate match.
- Fixed the problem where some accounts couldn’t join Ranked via a friend invite.
