With a considerably larger format and more stakes, the Pokémon UNITE World Championship Series is scheduled to return to India in 2023. Indian teams competing in the three-month tournament will receive $75,000 in prize money. Also, it will choose the two teams who will represent the nation at the $500,000 Pokémon UNITE World Championship in Japan in 2023.

From April through June, there will be an open-to-all format for the India Qualifier. They were divided into the Last Chance Qualification, the April Qualifier, and the May Qualifier. The eight teams that will participate in the India Playoffs. Where two spots to the World Championship in Japan are up for grabs, will be chosen from these three tournaments.

Pokémon UNITE Championship Series 2023 India

The two-day qualifiers in April and May will have up to 256 teams from throughout the nation competing. Each qualifier’s top three teams will progress to the regional playoffs. The final two teams competing in the India Playoffs will be decided by the LCQ.

There will be a total of $18,750 up for grabs in the April and May qualifiers. On the other hand, the India Playoffs will pay out $37,500. The entire competition will be played online. So trainers, fasten your seatbelts because a lot is at stake!

The schedule for it is as follows:

  • April Qualifier: April 15 and 16

  • May Qualifier: May 20 and 21

  • Last-Chance Qualifier: June 3

  • Regional Playoffs (India): June 4

The Pokémon UNITE World Championship 2023 will take place in August in Yokohama, Japan. The two Indian teams will be among 32 teams from across the world fighting for a part of the $500,000 prize fund and the title of global champions.
