India Got 11th Rank In PUBG Mobile World Invitational Main Event
PMWI Main Event participants included 11th-place team Soul.

The closing event of the 2022 PUBG Mobile World Invitational (PMWI) was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, where Vampire Esports from Thailand won the competition. On the final day, the squad made a stunning comeback to take home the title. Apart from that, Team Soul from India improved four places to finish in 11th place with a positive result. Finally, India got 11th Rank in the main event.

The fight between Gen.G and Four Angry Men got off to a fiery start. In the end, it was Gen.G that prevailed, winning 16-11. Following that, fan-favorites Bigetron RA from Indonesia went up against RRQ Athena from Thailand in what was billed as the match of the day. It did not disappoint; Athena won with a score of 16-9.

India Got 11th Rank In PMWI Event

Team Soul won the following match, which was against the Thailand team FGaming. The Indian team followed up this victory with a defeat to Vietnamese box1 Esports in the next game. Team Soul, on the other hand, rebounded from its poor showing in Week 2 and went on to win the next two games against Indonesian teams Bigetron RA and Geek Fam.

They were in a strong position going into the last day when they would just need to win one match out of the three remaining to reach the top eight.

Following their defeat on the opening map, Team Soul came back to win the next two games, taking the series. In the following match, they were beaten by Indonesian team Alter Ego.

The Indian team rebounded strongly and went on to win the next two contests against the Japanese squad Detonation Gaming Feather and Malaysian team Resurgence, bringing the day to a successful close.

Rewards

After winning the game, Team Soul was in contention to win $1 million. On the final day of the competition, they won with a flawless run and secured 11th place on the leaderboard with 47 points. They obtained a prize sum of $58,500 (~$47 Lakh). In the PMWI Main Event, Hector took home the Eagle Eye Award.

In the finale, Team Soul correctly predicted that their best would be saved for last, as they earned 12 kills in the final match to win their first chicken dinner. This outstanding performance elevated them to the 11th position on the rankings.

In this bout, Soul Omega’s zone forecasts were crucial, allowing the squad to keep their position without losing anybody. Meanwhile, Vampire Esports also had a strong performance in the match, scoring 12 kills.

Despite both teams playing well, it was ultimately Team Soul who obtained the victory. This just goes on to demonstrate that every game has surprises, no matter how good or bad a team is performing.
