Honkai Star Rail has gained massive popularity in the short time it has been out. However, players had only one complaint, and that is the lack of content. Honkai Star Rail 1.2 will be releasing very soon and is dubbed the “Even Immortality Ends” update.
The game will be releasing with the expansion on the Xianzhou Luofu storyline, which had been abruptly stagnant in the current patch. The main story line expansion also means introduction of new characters and also new items. Trailblazers will have a chance to get the new Wind Destruction character, Blade, in the special banner event this patch. The new patch will expand the storyline, and is expected to be a large patch. Therefore, players are advised to download the game through a high-speed Wi-Fi. You can also currently pre-download some assets in order to reduce the time to patch on official release.
The server maintenance will begin at 6:00 (UTC +8) on 19th July 2023. However, players will not be able to access the game servers for about 5 hours. This holds true for every server in the game, so make a note of your local timings. The patch will also require you to restart the game after downloading, in order to properly install the files. For iOS and Android users you can directly update the game through your App Store, or follow the Update procedure after starting the game.
But, players will also be compensated amply for this long downtime. Every player with a Level greater than 4 will be getting a total of 300x Stellar Jade. Stellar Jade is the premium currency in Star Rail, and getting this amount might be a blessing for many free-to-play players.
The new update comes with the expansion of the story mode, and two completely new characters. Blade will be the first 5-star to be released, and will be followed by the unveil of Dan Heng’s 5-Star form. Later in the patch, the Blade banner will be replaced by a Kafka Banner. Therefore, players need to save up accordingly to pull for their favorite character.
