Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 is on its way currently, and several leaks have been informing players about the new additions. Apparently, there has been a leak about a new boss NPC that players can defeat on the rift. A new Vampire Boss will be added as a mob, and in typical fashion, will drop loot when defeated.
Boss mobs/NPCs in Fortnite are quite rare, but always present in ever update. The last update featured the White Knight, and in the last Chapter, players could face the Panther boss. Defeating a boss monster is always tough and might require you to accurately aim or get a team to do it. However, defeating them is also very rewarding. Legendary drops are often acquired from bosses, which in turn help you greatly when facing opponents.
Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4: Vampire Boss to arrive same day as patch
The Vampire Boss will be a unique addition to the game, as there has never been a vampire themed boss in the game. These boss monsters always have unique abilities that do a lot of damage, create obstacles, or crowd control players. In every way, these NPCs are stronger than regular mobs and can often wipe out players or even teams.
However, to reward players amply, these are often armed to drop legendary weapons, artifacts, healing items, and also shields. Getting these strengthen the players by a lot, as they are often miles better than normal loot items. The Mythic category of weapons are often only available by defeating these bosses, or by capturing a very contested waypoint.
However, if this character will be integrated with the lore is not know yet. Generally these NPCs only act as a mob to kill to obtain loot. But looking at Fortnite previous attempts to create a intertwined lore, the boss might very well be a character in the trailer whenever it releases.
Smaller Changes Incoming
As the new patch comes out, several things will be changing permanently or temporarily. According to the leaks, the Llamas and Raptors will be vaulted for this season. Llamas dropped a ton of ammo and consumables when killed, and has been a contested objective in the current meta. However, it seems that Epic Games have decided to vault them until further notice.
Along with this, there are also rumors of a new Desert biome and Armored car making its way to the game. However, these will only be confirmed with further leaks or reveals in the future.
