CODM February Public Test Build #1 is live. According to CODM, there are multiple updates scheduled for this month. The upcoming community updates will be inclusive but not limited to new seasons, competitive tournaments, regional events & other cool ways to keep the CODM experience engaging & exhilarating. We’re here to cover the first test build of this month.
New modes are dropping in the game everyday. The latest inclusions such as BR Warfare & Hardcore Hold (MP), will be live till the 18th of Feb. BR Blitz, the fan-favourite fast-paced mode, will be back next week. As of now, the public test built is currently full. Although, the CODM team has addressed the main concerns regarding recent major gameplay changes that are being implemented in the game. However, they have also confirmed everything in the public test build is subject to change.
Movement Nerf: CODM February Public Test Build
CODM team has assured the players that certain movement changes that came to light earlier are unintentional. The problems such as slide aim animation & reduced movement speed while ADSing instead of after ADSing are bugs that are getting a fix. That said, The Drop Shot though, is getting a huge nerf. After the next update, players won’t be able to go prone & shoot with the ADS on. You must have the new Skillful Dropshot Perk equipped. Otherwise, the gun will return to crosshair mode when you go prone while aiming down the sight.
Events seasonal challenges: CODM
Two new seasonal challenges are recent additions in the game. You can find out more about them here. CODM team has also thanked the players for the positive feedback around Gunzo – Clown Coded & the ICR-1 – Forced Laughter. In celebration of Valentin’s Day the Sweet Valentine Crate & Valentine Redux Draw has been added to the game. They have also requested the community to keep an eye on their global social media channels to grab some in-game goodies for free.
Chinese Content: CODM
CODM hasn’t yet confirmed if the Chinese contents are releasing in the Global Version as well. But they have assured their developers team is looking for ways to add them in the Global Version it performs well. The Anti-cheat system is getting an upgrade as well. There’s a trend of more cheating in the game at the beginning of every new season. CODM team has promised that with the new anti-cheat system, the Ranked experience will become much fairer. Meanwhile, the next series will be releasing alongside season 2 in March.
Regarding Desync, the CODM team has quoted ”we’ve seen some improvements on this front thanks to server optimizations and for some regions entirely new servers. However, this is a long-term battle where we are constantly monitoring servers, ping, and connection to see what regions are lacking, where we can make improvements, and who may be running into this issue the most as a result of server related issues. We’ll keep doing what we can to improve this for all of our players around the world, but please make sure that you are playing on a stable and strong network (not Wifi) to minimize the possibility of this type of issue occurring.”
