Day 1 of the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series (BGIS) 2023 Grand Finals provided an intense battle between seasoned and underdog teams. Teams like Revenant Esports, Gods Reign, and OR Esports demonstrated consistency, while other squads had mixed performances. Upcoming teams like Growing Strong and GlitchxReborn also showed their potential. The tournament is officially organised by Krafton India and the game featured is BGMI.

BGIS 2023 Grand Finals Day 1

Match 1 – Erangel: Team X Spark Shines in BGIS 2023 Grand Finals

Team X Spark secured the first chicken dinner of the Grand Finals on Erangel. Tushar “Dreams” Jain delivered an outstanding performance with 6 solo finishes, earning his team 25 points. Gods Reign claimed the second spot with 22 points, while Gladiator Esports showcased excellent rotations and secured 17 points. MICI Esports continued their momentum from the Semi-Finals, earning 11 points. However, Revenant Esports and Blind Esports were eliminated early with 3 points each.

Match 2 – Miramar: Midwave Esports Triumphs

In the Miramar match, Midwave Esports secured the chicken dinner with a total of 26 points. Randeep “Attanki” Bhullar stood out with 6 finishes. Revenant Esports, despite an early elimination in the previous match, secured the second spot with 18 points. GlitchxReborn also put on a strong performance with 17 points. Gods Reign continued their momentum from the previous match, earning 12 points. On the other hand, MICI Esports and Big Brother Esports were eliminated without scoring any points.

Match 3 – Sanhok: Growing Strong’s Comeback

Growing Strong made a comeback in the third match by securing the chicken dinner with 21 points. TWM Gaming also bounced back, claiming the second spot with 18 points. OR Esports and Gladiator Esports finished third and fourth, each with 14 points. Team X Spark and Medal Esports were eliminated with 3 points each.

Match 4 – Vikendi: OR Esports Dominates BGIS 2023 Grand Finals

OR Esports continued their impressive run, earning the chicken dinner with 21 points. Although they secured the chicken dinner, Revenant Esports garnered the most points (24) from the match. Ritesh “Fierce” Nawandar from Revenant Esports demonstrated exceptional gameplay with 7 finishes. Big Brother Esports and GlitchxReborn secured 14 and 13 points, respectively. Unfortunately, Medal Esports and Blind Esports were eliminated without scoring any points.

Match 5 – Miramar: Revenant Esports Claims Victory

Revenant Esports secured their first chicken dinner of the Grand Finals, earning 26 points. Big Brother Esports continued their momentum from the previous game, securing 19 points. Blind Esports made a comeback and earned 13 points, with 12 of them coming through placement points. TWM Gaming and MICI Esports also delivered strong performances, earning 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Match 6 – Erangel: Gods Reign’s Dominance in BGIS 2023 Grand Finals

In the final match of Day 1, Gods Reign claimed the chicken dinner with a massive 31 points. Shubham “NinjaJod” Sahoo and Hamza “Blaze” Hyderabadwala were standout performers for Gods Reign, with 8 and 5 finishes, respectively. CS Esports and Night Owls made a comeback in the last match of the day, securing 15 and 11 points, respectively. Unfortunately, Revenant Esports and Gladiator Esports were eliminated early, earning just 1 point each.
