For this week’s Ridt Tour challenges, you’ll also have to open two Cosmic Chests. Here, we will discuss how to open a Cosmic Chest in Fortnite, and its location and whether you can open it during a solo Match.
How to Open a Cosmic Chest in Fortnite?
A Cosmic Chest can give you tons of great weapons, ammo and you will also get your hand on Alien Artifacts. Although, in order to get a cosmic chest you’ll need to be on a team. Either it is duos, trios, or squads. To open the chest you’ll have to break it down one by one.
The Cosmic Chests spawn after 5-10 minutes of the game starting. However, this can only be done with a team mate and each one of you will have to take turns hitting the Cosmic Chest to break it down. After it has cracked completely, you’ll get some XP, Alien Artfiacts and some decent weapons with their ammo.

If you don’t get how to open the chest yet, don’t worry you’ll find these same instructions during the game. Remember, that the Cosmic Chests will activate as soon as you go near it. Furthermore, you’ll have a limited time to break open the chest.

Although, there are no precise locations of the cosmic chests. But we can say that you will generally find them at the above locations throughout the map. These are the Fortnite cosmic chests location that you can find easily.
At the start of every match after 5-10 minutes of the game you can search for the chests. You’ll see the symbols of the Cosmic Chest pop up at different locations.

Open A Cosmic Chest Fortnite Solo:
Unfortunately, a Cosmic Chest doesn’t appear in Solo matches in Fortnite. So in order to open one, you’ll need to be in a duos, trios or squads March.
