PUBG also known as PMGC 2022 event is running at present. There are many players from all over the countries are participating in this event. The prize pool for the PMGC 2022 is $4 million. For a spot in the grand finals, up to 48 teams from across the world are playing in the league stage. Malaysia is where the league stage is taking place. The 2022 PMGC format has undergone a major redesign by Tencent. Three groups of 16 teams each were formed from the 48 teams. Each week, a different group competes, with the best three teams moving on to the Grand Finals.
The confrontations at the top and bottom of the table have been particularly heated as a result of the new format. There have been a few unexpected performances in group red. A tournament favorite has furthermore already lost in the competition.
PMGC 2022 Qualified Red Group
Buriram United Esports won the Red Group with a total of 300 points earned from 24 games. But they nearly didn’t win since they were down against Brazil’s Influence Chemin in the final two games by a score of 13 points. Three teams have qualified for the Grand Finals following a grueling four days of action in the Red Group matchups. The competition has also eliminated five other teams. But with a chicken meal and a third-place showing in the last two games, they were able to dramatically change their fortunes.
The Infinity from Thailand, which finished last on the list, was the biggest letdown. With wins at the PMPL Thailand, SEA Championship, and Regional Clash, they were among the favorites to win the trophy going into the PMGC. The Infinity, however, struggled to maintain its momentum during the PMGC group stage and finished 12th overall. Red group teams were listed below;
