Valorant has been the top First Person Shooter (FPS) game since its launch and the Valorant eSports has grown a lot across the globe. It is a free-to-play first-person shooter game developed and published by the dev giants Riot Games. The game is available for Microsoft Windows and is predicted to be on android and consoles soon. The game was officially released on June 2, 2020, because of a successful beta test. After a great success in the PC version of the game, are Riot Games planning Valorant Releasing In Consoles?

Speculations are that Valorant will be released in Console soon, as the PC version of the game has thrashed many records, the game was expected to get released on consoles a lot earlier. But the leaks have been coming out in tons and it might be out soon.

Is Valorant Coming In Consoles?

It looks like the console version of VALORANT is coming if datamined details and new job descriptions are anything to go by.

As Valorleaks pointed out, Riot Games released 2 job postings for Senior Game Designers for VALORANT. It’s worth noting that these job postings are specified for console game designers.

Riot Games has been hiring Senior Game Designer for consoles, which highly hint towards a Console version development of the game. Valorant will be released both in PlayStation as well as Xbox, as both of these are major consoles.

The question arises is will it turn out to be a cross-platform game like Rocket League. Or will the console version have aim-assist like the Apex Legends console version? Most probably it will not be a cross-platform game. As they will not do the mistake of losing their player base by mixing the platforms and tampering with the long-lasting debate. Secondly, the console version might have aim-assist as controllers need aim-assist unlike PC’s, for a fair and handy game.

When will VALORANT get a console release?

In June 2020, Riot revealed that they’re “prototyping” a console version of VALORANT, but didn’t promise because the developer believes that “there’s a way to experience this game that we’re not entirely sure translates completely to console play.”

Riot’s job postings specifically for developing VALORANT’s console version suggest that things have been progressing well. So it’s likely that the studio has major plans to release the game on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. One of the biggest questions now is when is Valorant Releasing In Consoles?

For now, we don’t have an exact release date or release window yet. As Riot hasn’t announced any official news for a console release, it’s clear that Riot Games has a plan of expanding its brand and business across all platforms. Wild Rift’s adaptation of the popular MOBA game League of Legends was Riot’s first mobile experience, and it turned out to be a success.

All we can do is wait for further information officially or unofficially. We might see the console release by 2023, after the mobile version release. It is expected that both the mobile version and console version are under development, and they might be released in a year or two.
