PUBG Mobile Global Championship(PMGC) Finals: Day 2 postponed

PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) Finals started on January 21, 2021, and it’s day 2 was postponed after the PUBG Mobile team faced some technical issues. According to casters, many players were facing network issues. So, they released a statement on Twitter about temporarily suspending the matches, saying they cannot hold day 2 as planned.

All the players were supposed to complete the PMGC finals from the Coca- Cola Arena in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. But it then shifted online after three players were tested COVID positive, whose identity remains unrevealed.

During the first day of the PUBG Mobile Global Championship Finals, players competed in complete isolation from their hotel rooms. Some of the matches were also delayed for the same reason as a short period to prepare for an online event. As a result, the competition had many connectivity issues.

The long delays and the resultant inconvenience disappointed the fans and the players around the world. The officials also apologized and assured the fans that they were vigorously working to resolve the issues, and soon they would notify them about the resumption of day 2 matches. They also praised the patience and support of the fans.

Tencent declared that more matches would be added to the competition so that all teams have a fair chance of playing. The remaining days will feature seven matches instead of six matches per day to compensate for issues faced during day 1. (zolpidem)

So, at the end of Day 1 of PMGC, after completing six matches, Klas Digital Athletics stood at the top of the table with 80 points. Angry Men (4AM) at second place with 75 issues and Natus Vincere (Navi) at third place with 68 points.
