The annual PUBG Mobile Global Championship, often known as the PMGC, is back this year. It is the ultimate honor for any esports team or individual engaged with the game. According to reports, the Grand Finals of the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2022 will take place on January 8, 2023, which will mark the conclusion of the competition.

The competition will use the PMGC 2022 New Format as opposed to the prior years’ formats. All the eligible teams will play in a league stage. Teams, the PMGC 2022 format, the prize fund, and other information will be updated on this website, so players should check back often.

PMGC 2022

The PUBG online gaming tournament is incredibly popular all over the world. Soon, the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2022 matches will be played. There will be 51 teams competing in PMGC from all around the world, and the victors will receive a sizable award. India has banned the PUBG video game, yet Indian gamers can still watch its live broadcast.

According to the program, the live streaming of PMGC 2022 will begin each day, and viewers will be able to hear the commentary in a variety of languages. You may watch this competition on the PUBG Mobile Esports, Facebook, and YouTube channels in India.

To win the remaining PMGC seats, several other teams have been competing in their regional fall season tournaments. Notably, Tencent raised the number of places available for the competition this year after an astounding 41 teams competed in last year’s edition. The Championship berth distribution has not yet been disclosed by the organizer.

R8 Esports was the first team to take up residence in its seats during the league stage of the competition as a result of PMPL Fall Arabia wrapping up sooner than other events. The team that finished first in the 2022 Arabian Pro Leagues (Spring + Fall) earned the right to play.

Top Teams in PMGC 2022

The best three teams from the 2022 PEL Summer season have advanced to the competition, while the final Chinese ticket will be filled through the PMGC China Qualifier, which will take place from September 29 to October 23. In addition, SMG, the PEL Summer champion, has qualified for the Global Championship grand finals. While Nova and LGD have proceeded to the league stage.

On August 28, the PMPL’s fall season in South East Asia came to an end, with four clubs guaranteed spots in the league round. According to their PMGC rankings (PMPL Spring + Fall), they advanced.

Indonesian competitor Alter Ego qualified for the competition with a total of 1423 points. The squad came in second place overall and seventh in the finals of the Pro League Spring League. As for Alter Ego’s performances throughout the Fall season, they earned a respectable second place in the league and the grand finale.

The Infinity from Thailand, who had a dominant fall campaign, earned a spot for the league stage. Despite having a bad spring season, the team improved over the fall. In the PMGC MY/SG/PH standings, Geek Fam from Malaysia scored the most points despite having ordinary runs in the spring thanks to their impressive results in the fall. Notably, the side borrowed high for the fall season from Bigetron RA.

 PMGC 2022 New Format

During the Group Stage, PMGC which runs from November 10 to November 27, 2022, 48 teams will be divided into three groups. The top three teams from each group move straight to the PMGC 2022 Grand Finals, while the bottom four teams are eliminated. The surviving teams from the Group Stage will compete in the Survival Stage from November 30 to December 2, 2022, for one of the 16 open spots in the Last Chance. Only the top four teams will advance to the PMGC Grand Finals following The Last Chance, which will be held on December 3 and 4, 2022.

Teams placing fourth through eleventh in the group stage will advance to the survivor stage. While the top three teams advance to the PMGC 2022 grand finals. A $348,000 USD prize money will be split among 24 teams during the survival stage.

The top 16 teams from the survival stage will advance to the last chance, which will have a $283,000 USD prize pool. The top 4 teams from the last opportunity will compete in the PMGC Grand Finals in 2022.

Indian Teams not Participating

Asian teams have performed incredibly well so far. Asian teams made up more than ten of the teams that advanced to the finals. GodLike Stalwart, an Indian esports team, also put on a standout performance with its Mongolian roster and advanced to the Grand Finals by dominating Group Green’s points standings. Notably, T2K Esports and DRS Gaming, two Nepali teams, have also secured spots in the Grand Finals. Additionally, Nova Esports, the winner of the last two PMGC competitions, has once more secured a spot in the Grand Finals.

Sadly, there was no Indian team able to compete in the PMGC 2022. Indian supporters believed that the organizers will reveal a direct invite spot for Indian teams in either the League or Grand Finals of the championship at the start of the competition. However, Krafton altered the championship’s structure on a number of occasions, and Indian teams were not invited.
