Team Secret, one of the SEA Kings of the Valorant scene, is currently on a losing streak in the VCT 2022 Philippine Challengers’ group stages. After defeats to Oasis Gaming and Bren Esports, they were vanquished once again. But this time it was Action PH. While the Valorant Champions Tour 2021 darkhorse won the first game of the series in Haven, they dropped the next two games in Fracture and Ascent, handing the series to Action PH.
Team Secret at Valorant Champions
The group play experience for Team Secret seemed significantly more stressful. Gambit, one of the greatest European teams in the competition, was their first opponent. Team Secret won one map against Gambit, however, the European team went on to win the series 2-1. Crazy Raccoon and Team Vikings were sent home for the season after Team Secret clawed their way out from the elimination and decider matches.
Action PH delivers a mastery in defending side
Neon made her first appearance in the VCT, and Sea Kings elected to use her with Jett. Most anticipated Team Secret to go all out in their assaults, considering the nature of these two agents.
Although much-expected DubsteP to utilize his trademark Jett, it was the Filipino agent who was used by him. His teammate witz, on the other hand, was the one who used Jett. Action PH, on the other hand, put on a defensive masterclass to slow down their opponents. The duelist duo was forced to slow down by a mix of Breach and Astra, allowing Action PH to assess the field. It won’t work that Secret didn’t have an agent who could scout all-around opposition and urge them to combat.
What’s the problem with Team Secret?
Seeing them finish last among their group with a 0-3 record has generated plenty of questions about the Philippine Valorant scene’s dignity. Some believe that the PH Valorant scene is getting more cutthroat as a consequence of their losing streak. Some argue that after being introduced to the international scene, Sea kings are yet to adjust to the Philippine meta.
Can Team Secret still come back?
Team Secret can still come back in the remaining week of group stages, so this was not the end of the journey for them. All they have to do now is an attempt to finish in third place in their group.
