2022 VCT Stage 1 – Challengers NA Main Event- The Valorant Champions Tour is back. With the beginning of a new year comes a new format that rewards individuals that excelled in representing NA in VCT 2021 all while encouraging newcomers to flourish.
Speaking of making a mark for NA in VCT 2021, The four NA teams that made a huge mark for NA in VCT 2021 are to be invited directly to the Stage 1 Main Event. So the first four teams to advance to the main event are Cloud9, Sentinels, Envy, and 100 Thieves.
Open Qualifiers of VCT Stage 1 – Challengers NA Main Event:
Open Qualifier 1 which happened from January 27 through January 30. Gave us four contenders for the main event who are Version 1, Xset, NRG, The Guard. The open Qualifier 2 which happened from February 3 through February 6 gave us more four contenders for the main event who are Evil Geniuses, Knights, Rise & Luminosity Gaming.
Overview of 2022 VCT Stage 1 – Challengers NA Main Event
The Main Event begins this weekend, VCT Stage 1 – Challengers NA Main Event playoffs will determine who will compete in the Masters begin on March 17. A group draw takes place in front of the participating organization’s representatives to divide the 12 teams into two groups of six. The qualified teams would be getting divided into groups depending on there are qualification basis
Playoffs-
After the regular season, the top eight teams will proceed to Stage 1 Playoffs, which will begin on March 17. The playoffs will be a two-week double-elimination format, with matches taking place from Thursday through Sunday. Only the Lower bracket Final and Grand Final, which will both be the best-of-five format. All other matches are in a best-of-three format.
From which Only the top two teams would get a chance to represent Na with the golden tickets for the VCT Stage 1 – Masters event.
All match days will start at 1 p.m. PST, and all matches will be best-of-three. We should brace ourselves for over a month of the finest of Valorant North America has to offer.
