The PM Cares fund was formed by Narendra Modi in 2020, to receive donations to help with the fight against Coronavirus. This is a charity that provides Assistance and Relief to Citizens during an Emergency Situation. In the past year, it raised money from donations made by organizations like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon.
PUBG Developer Krafton Donates 1.5 Crore INR to the PM Cares Fund in India to Help with the COVID 19 Situation
This announcement of the Krafton Donates INR 1.5 Crore to India for COVID relief was made public through a blog post on the official website.
Moreover, Mr. Changhan (CH) Kim, the Chief Executive Officer of Krafton Inc, stated that, “India is navigating a challenging time with the current wave of COVID-19. We remain committed to supporting the efforts of the Government in battling this unprecedented crisis. We hope our contribution to the PM CARES Fund will help the aid efforts currently operational on the ground.”
In addition to the blog post, Krafton further stated that they wish to assist the Indian Government. The South Korean company will help India fight against the pandemic. Moreover, they want to provide essentials in the future. For example, providing oxygen supplies and medical aid amongst others.
Since the ban of PUBG Mobile in India, Krafton has been relentlessly trying to feature a comeback. Moreover, back in March of 2021, NODWIN Gaming was successful enough to secure a monumental equity investment of INR 164 Crore from Krafton. However, this was to facilitate the development of esports in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia.
In a press release, Krafton’s PUBG Mobile India invested $100 Million. This was for the promotion of Indian Video Gaming, Esports, and Entertainment Industries. Today, Krafton donates 1.5 crores to the Indian Government.

Even though the Indian Government suggested that the measures being taken by Krafton to facilitate the return of PUBG Mobile might not be enough. This Krafton Donation to India might be a hugely positive step towards the same.
