Counter-Strike: Global Offensive or CS: GO, is an objective-based, multiplayer first-person shooter game. It was launched in 2012 by the developer of this game, Valve. In this article, you will get to know about how to defuse a bomb in CS: GO.
In CS: GO, there are two teams that fight against each other with each team containing five players. Therefore, one team is the terrorists, and the other is the counter-terrorists. Either one of the teams has to win the game by defeating the other.
Furthermore, for team terrorists, the main objective is either to kill the other team or successfully plant a bomb. Whereas, for team counter-terrorists, the main objective is either to kill the other team or successfully defuse a bomb. There are lots of modes in CS: GO. In total, it has eight official game modes: Competitive, Casual, Deathmatch, Arms Race, Demolition, Wingman, Flying Scoutsman, and Danger Zone.
How to Defuse a Bomb in CS: GO
Step-1 Defuse the bomb: If you’re on the Counter-terrorists team, then only you have to defuse the bomb. When it is announced that the “bomb has been planted”, you will have only 40 seconds to defuse the bomb as it has a timer. If the bomb goes off, then you will lose the round.
Step-2 Find the bomb: The bomb can only be planted at two places by the terrorists: Site A and Site B. You have to pay attention to the minimap or listen to what your teammates are saying. The map will show you how to get to the planted bomb. It will be clearly marked on the map.
Step-3 Go to the bomb site and kill the enemies: Discreetly go to the bomb site while looking out for terrorists. Keep in mind that the terrorists don’t want you to defuse the bomb. So you must coordinate with your team and kill them.
Step-4 Find the bomb near the bomb site: The bomb can be found on the ground somewhere within the bomb site. You will be able to hear beeping which will rise up in volume the closer you reach the bomb.
Step-5 Locate the bomb, face it and hold E: The default key for defusing a bomb is E. When E is pressed and held, you will be able to see a meter starting to fill up. When the meter is full, the bomb will be defused and your team will win the round. Defusing the bomb without a defusing kit will take 10 seconds. It only takes 5 seconds with a kit. You can purchase a defusing kit from the in-game buy menu for $400 or you can pick one up from a dead teammate.

- Ace: When a single player eliminates the entire team.
- AWPer: A player who only uses the AWP Sniper Rifle.
- Boost: When a player jumps on an ally’s back in order to get a height advantage.
- Clutch: When the last man standing wins against multiple enemies.
- Camping: Staying in one area for a lot of time.
- Nade: Short for “grenade”.
- Molly: A Molotov grenade that is only available to the counter-terrorist team.
- Flick: A smooth swift reaction shot.
- HP: Short for hit points. Each player has 100 health points.
- Bomb: The terrorist team planting the bomb and making sure it explodes.
