Cloud 9 Blue To Represent North America At Valorant Champions Along With Sentinels And Envy
The North American side was one of the 8 teams that were competing in the NA LCQ. Cloud 9 started the campaign well and defeated Version 1 to start their campaign. However, they were sent to the lower bracket as Rise defeated them in their second match by 2-1. Cloud 9 then successively won their further matches and defeated Geng, XSET, and 100 Thieves to compete in the final.
Both the team were unexpected entries in the final. Cloud 9 Blue and Rise both defeated 100 Thieves which were the favorites to win the NA LCQ and qualify for the Champions. Furthermore, there have been two major tournaments played so far named Masters. Cloud 9 never qualified for any of these major tournaments and they will be marking their presence directly in the biggest tournament of the year.
The top 8 teams from the NA circuit points qualified for the NA LCQ. Additionally, Cloud 9 was the second last team to qualify, and Rise was the last team on the Circuit point list. This means both the bottom teams surprised all the other teams to qualify for the NA LCQ finals.
The last ones standing. Congratulations to @Cloud9 Blue on earning the last NA spot at VALORANT Champions!
