PUBG Mobile India: Krafton INC. is Trying Their Best to Bring the Game Back in India Besides Government’s Declaration

PUBG Mobile was already on a dominating stage in India, and a large audience was enjoying the challenges. Furthermore, lots of opportunities surfaced for Pubg Mobile eSports athletes & casual gamers as well.

However, on 2nd September 2020, the Indian Government banned more than 100 Chinese apps, including PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite. The ban was implemented after interrogating the user data and the security of the app. The sudden ban proved very much devastating for the content creators as well as the PUBG Mobile athletes.

On 12th November 2020, PUBG Mobile announced a brand new title for the users through their socials. This announcement was considered a boon for the PUBG Mobile users in India. And the audience was expecting it to come anytime soon, but that had not been the case.

Recently, PUBG: New State – a new battle royale resembling the already popular title, was announced by the PUBG officials. However, the Indian audience felt upset as it was not available to pre-register in the Google play store for Indian users.

Krafton focusing on PUBG MOBILE India currently and PUBG: New State in Later Stages

Recently in an interview with Byung-Gyu Chang, the chairman of Krafton, he was asked about the plans to release PUBG Mobile India, as a reply to this he stated “In my heart, I want to release the game as soon as possible, but it’s not our (Krafton) problem, it’s India’s problem.”

This clarifies that Krafton is doing everything they need to compensate with the Indian Government and bring the game back in India. Moreover, just one week after the ban of PUBG Mobile in India, the company announced that it would be no longer associated with Tencent games.

Moreover, at the Gaming Conference 2021, Sean Hyunil Sohn ( Head of development at Krafton) and Akshat Rathee( MD and co-founder of NODWIN GAMING) were invited; when Akshat Rathee asked about the plans and releases of PUBG Mobile India, Sean Hyunil Sohn replied

“ I can not really tell a timing, because we don’t know yet. But what I can tell you is that we care about the Indian market greatly and that’s why I get to know a lot of friends in the Indian gaming industry. So definitely we will work hard to make it happen.

This makes it clear that Krafton INC. is doing everything to bring the game back in India as per the government regulations.
