Many people in the Indian esports community were dissatisfied with the recent announcement of slot distribution for the PMGC 2022 event, since there were no places set aside for teams from India. This is owing to the ban on PUBG Mobile in India that was put into effect in September 2020.

This is a significant blow to India’s competitive gaming scene, which was only just flourishing a few months ago. The BGMI had established a solid foundation for the game, with numerous world-recording events and a lucrative prize pool. However, because of the ban, it has all come to an end.

Tencent has not yet announced any plans to bring PUBG Mobile back to India. In the meantime, Indian teams will have compete internationally by looking for other opportunities.

The PUBG Mobile Global Championship is an annual professional tournament for the mobile battle royale game PUBG Mobile.

The remaining two teams for the PMGC 2022 league stage will be announced at a later time. But we already know that they’ll be competing against 46 other teams for a chance to participate in the grand finals. The final of the event will have three direct entries, but just two have been revealed so far. The third slot has yet to be determined.

Out of the 48 teams competing in the PMGC 2022 league stage, 46 have already been revealed. Two slots are still open and will be announced at a later date. Of the three direct berths to the grand finals, only two have been specified with one slot remaining unclaimed as of yet.

The tournament’s league stage is set for November 2022, and the finals will occur in January 2023. There is still some time before the event. So there will likely be more announcements soon about these locations and what they have to give gamers.

There has been no word from the IFBA about spots for Indian BGMI teams. And there is a doubt that one will be offered. However, gamers may not completely write it off.

As of now, it is unclear if Indian teams will be able to participate in the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2022. This is because, during the previous iteration of the PMGC, GoldLike Esports had received a slot at the event based on their performance in the Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021. Furthermore, Team SouL and 7Sea Esports also participated in PUBG Mobile’s afterparty showdown scheduled just after game’s ban.

so the questions about whether Indian teams can participate in PMGC 2022 are still unanswered. Nonetheless, Indian fans and players should remain hopeful while they wait for a response from the developers.
