The highly expected Valorant beta test has now begun, and we’re more than a little eager to start blasting away foes. The most obvious change is to Chamber’s signature ability, Journey.
The agent’s flashbang grenade now has a smaller radius of effect, dropping from six to five meters. It might not appear to be much, but it’s a significant cut that will make it more difficult for Chamber to disorient and wound multiple enemies at the same time.
An additional nerf is on the way for Journey’s alternate fire mode, which allows the Chamber to throw the grenade further and faster but at the cost of a smaller blast radius. The alternate fire has been expanded to include an even smaller blast radius than the standard fire, making it even less effective at damaging or disorienting targets.
Valorant Chamber Nerf
The final nerf to Chamber in this PBE update is a reduction to the agent’s ultimate ability, which allows him to create a large portal that his teammates can use to dash across the map quickly. The ultimate’s cooldown has been increased from 60 seconds to 80, making it less accessible throughout a game.
There are a few drawbacks also. The biggest benefit of working with a headhunter is that they offer Chambers access to more prospects. Because it operates in an economy where opportunities are plentiful. Other agents must make tough economic decisions like cutting costs or increasing prices to be competitive. It doesn’t have to make difficult financial choices like other agents do. This is mostly influenced by the chamber’s decision to fire and save the first round of the pistol sequence.
Players could affect Chamber’s playability and popularity in the game. These are all significant nerfs to Chamber. And if they were implemented in the game, they would undoubtedly have a big influence on his competitiveness. And these adjustments may be changed or deleted before the final patch goes live.
