Is Epic Games Store Down?

Both Epic Games Store and Fortnite are down following a larger power outage caused to Amazon Web Servers. This comes in just a couple of weeks after Amazon Web Services caused disruption of what seemed like the whole internet. Services like Netflix, Amazon Store, Prime, Disney+, Playstation Store, Steam, Twitch, Xbox were some of the few that were affected.

If you are having troubles relating to logging in, completing a purchase, browsing through the store, you’re not alone. Epic Games through its official Twitter admitted the issues.

This has caused concerns among various people who were waiting to claim their free game for the day or are worried that sales on their favorite title might end. But, there is no need for apprehension since most of the games will continue to be on sale till the 6th of January. As for the Free games, there are still nine titles to be announced before the Epic Games Holiday Sale comes to an end.

People are also having trouble accessing or downloading the games they purchased.

When will Epic Games Store be Back online?

Nothing is confirmed now but, Amazon Web Services said it began investigating connectivity issues at about 7:35 a.m. ET for some servers in its US-East-1 region. At about 8:40 am, they confirmed they had restored power. And around 9:15 am they said that services were recovered for the majority of customers. Regardless of this, people on Twitter constantly seem to be reporting several issues. And, Epic Games Store is still down.
