Project M Valorant Details: Gaming company NetEase has revealed a trailer for their upcoming game named Project M. Moreover, the game looks almost similar to Riot’s Valorant and the fans are calling it a clone. The 30-second trailer gives a glimpse of the game and everything looks similar to Valorant.
Riot Games has long been a dominant player in the tactical shooter space with Valorant, a title that gained massive popularity on PC. But with increasing demand for mobile versions of competitive shooters, Riot’s experimental title “Project M” has sparked curiosity. Is it Valorant Mobile in disguise? In 2020, Riot released their 5 vs 5 tactical shooter game named Valorant. Furthermore, the game became popular and it is one of the most played games across the globe. Also, many of the CS: GO professional players shifted to the game as it has similar game mechanics.
Later in 2021, the developers announced the release of Valorant Mobile. Moreover, the mobile version of the game is still in the development process and there are no updates regarding this. And now, suddenly, a gaming company, Netease, released a trailer of a new game named Project M, which looks similar to Valorant.

Similarities Between Both Games
There is nothing much we can address from a 30-second trailer. However, the trailer gives an idea about this upcoming game. The game has several agents just like Valorant with different abilities. Also, some guns are almost the same as the Riot’s game. Moreover, in the trailer, an agent can be seen creating a wall that is exactly the same as Valorant’s sage wall.
So, there is nothing wrong when we call this game a clone of Valorant. The project M is so similar to Valorant that the kill mark and effect look almost the same. In Valorant, when we eliminate opponents there is a skull mark that appears on the screen. So, the game is almost the same as Valorant and it might reduce the impact of Valorant mobile on the fans.

What’s Next From Riot?
It is said that Riot will soon file a lawsuit against the company. One of the commentators from esports said that the NetEase didn’t even try to change it, just straight up rip off Valorant. Same ability, the same gun concept, same kill VFX.
