Fortnite 17.10 Patch Notes What’s New in the Game?
The Fortnite update version 17.10Â today brought quite a lot of things. The major one enabling the players to get inside the mothership that has been hovering over for so long in Season 7. Besides this, we have the abductors, alien parasites, some new skins, and the Cosmic Summer event. Which also brings the Cosmic Summer Quests.
Enter the Alien Mothership
The huge battleship that has hovered over Fortnite’s map since the beginning of Season 7 finally makes sense. Fortnite calls it the ‘Mothership‘. Apparently, there will be ‘Abductors‘ deployed from the mothership each game which will bring players inside the mothership.
Map Changes

New weapons and Skins in Battle Royale
Yes, if you’re one of those who’ve already attained all the levels of Battle Royale this major change is for you. It’ll bring more excitement since you can now earn more Battle Stars. For the same purpose, there are now new super-level styles for Rick Sanchez, Dr. Slone, Guggimon, Zyg, and Sunny.

What are the Alien Parasites?
Alien Parasites are a new addition to the game. You can now find parasitic animals namely the chicken, boars, and wolves. These parasites are transferrable to you. When you kill the parasitic animal the parasite sticks to your head. This is all the info that we were able to gather from Fortnite 17.10 patch notes today.
According to Epic, they will drain your health till 60. Also, offering you the ability to prevent headshot damage, run faster, and jump higher. Nonetheless, they will not affect your shield.
