Riot Games releases the information about upcoming changes for VALORANT. This article provides detailed information about the Riot Games’ additional LP penalties for AFK and toxicity. These planned changes will punish the players who went AFK after starting the matches. These changes will review the offensive words in chat and other disruptive behavior of the players. If someone found guilty, they will get punished.

VALORANT is a tactical shooter game developed by Riot Games. This is a character-based game where players need to choose their character for the game. Therefore, each character uses their own abilities to win the game. Riot Games are continuously updating the things in the game. Cheating in the game is a major problem for all game developers. Players went AFK at their own will to ruin the games of others. Sometimes some of them show disruptive behavior and toxicity in the game. Yesterday,  the Social media team of VALORANT released details of some upcoming changes.

In the game with Patch 2.04, these changes will be made. The players who found to be AFK will receive the penalties which will increase progressively.  After a certain number of penalties, players will get warnings to XP denial, and after that full game ban. Developers also assured that there will be no effect on players who will AFK due to an internet outage.

There will be a chat moderation as well which will penalize the chat-based offenses. Riot Games cleared that

“There is no room for violence, threats, or targeted harassment in VALORANT. Riot Games have a zero-tolerance policy where players rage a war or harassing the other players can get punishment as well as ban for full-time”.

Riot Games also working on reports and feedback functions in VALORANT, and additional moderation to combat the toxicity that can occur in voice chat.
