The latest addition to the Valorant family is Pearl, which has already become a favorite among gamers. The all-new map was introduced on June 22, and it has fast established itself in the competitive queue.

The countryside of Blackwater Bay is rendered in stunning detail with a variety of terrain types ranging from rolling hills to densely forested areas. The series’ first expansion pack, Pearl, takes players back to the dimly lit streets and abandoned warehouses where they last saw willow and Ava’s father in Blood Omen.

The Pearl map is excellent for those who enjoy taking their time and playing a more strategic game. There are several opportunities for players to establish ambushes and use the map’s many natural hazards.

Pearl Map Design

The community is not pleased with the overall Pearl map design. Some players have complained about the map’s geometry is a bit lopsided. When compared to other maps, the colors appear to be too dim. This might be since the map is under the sea, even though Lisbon is a sunny and colorful port city in real life.

Features

Bind’s Teleporters, for example, are unique to Valorant. Even though Pearl is the eighth and most recent map, there aren’t many inventive features in terms of gameplay.

Pearl Map Is Large

The map is enormous and has a labyrinth-like layout. There are simply too many places to name out, which may be stressful for a new Valorant player to keep track of. Pearl isn’t an easy map for newcomers to learn the game on. It has a steep learning curve and takes some time to grasp.

Unbalanced

The map is too Attacker-friendly, which makes defending difficult. It’s tough to rotate in time and take mid-control; sites are unapproachable with no defensible cover, and there are numerous entry points. In a post-plant scenario, taking back the A site is difficult.

More Campers

The area in front of the third treasure chest is too complex to search for opponents with hidden positions in the game. There are a plethora of camping locations, and it might be difficult to flush them out.
