So the new act for Valorant Season 2025 Act 4 is about to land real soon. As confirmed by Riot and a few leakers online, it’s going live June 25, 2025, early morning in U.S. time zones. Something like 9 AM ET, that’s usually when maintenance ends and update drops, more or less.
What’s New? That Map Called Corrode
Now here comes the big one: Corrode, the fresh new map. It looks like a French-type old-timey village but on Omega Earth (whatever that means exactly), and it’s full of layered paths and tight angles. 5v5 classic Valorant style, with two spike sites, and three main lanes that kind of makes it feel like Split meets Lotus in weird ways.
Also, players will be getting full RR on wins and only lose half of normal RR till July 9. Riot want everyone to try the map without worrying about their rank falling too hard.
There’s also a special Corrode-only Swiftplay queue going live from June 25 to June 30, just for map practice, which kinda helps too.
Ranked Stuff and Map Rotation Switches
New Act means changes in the map pool as usual. So, Pearl and Split are out (sad for Split lovers), and Corrode comes in together with Bind, Lotus, Icebox, Haven, Ascent, and Fracture.
Of course, your rank resets again like always. Players need to finish 5 placement matches, and ranks might be a little off compared to the previous act ‘cause of recalibrations Riot always does.
Big Meta Changes – Agents and Gunplay
Act 4 patch 11.00 does not just bring the map. Some Agents got hit with the nerf hammer.
- Reyna, Neon and Phoenix, all of them duelists had their flashes tuned down—duration and speed both.
- Waylay (yes, the newer agent) got buffed. She might be picked more now.
- Omen’s smokes and Killjoy had some visual and gameplay tweaks too, not everyone might notice at first.
Basically, Riot is trying to push back toward skill-based fights, rather than ability spam dominating the rounds.
New Battle Pass and Skins Drop
Like clockwork, there’s a new Battle Pass starting June 25. Usual cost—1,000 VP. You get:
- Free stuff like Classic skin (ATLAS // CMD), bonsai gun buddy, anniversary cards and 30 Radianite Points.
- Paid stuff includes the Phaseguard skin line with Vandal, Bulldog, Ghost, Outlaw and melee called “Splitter”.
The Phaseguard bundle comes to store separately on June 26, so players can buy it directly if they want.
