With the latest PUBG Update 36.1 patch, PUBG made some major adjustments on Ranked system. Now, players can climb into two brand-new ranks which are Crystal and Survivor—the top one now. Also, earlier there were 5 divisions in each tier, now it’s been reduced to 4, making climb maybe faster but still not easier.
Big Changes Come to Ranked Mode in PUBG Update 36.1
Also, one RP (Rank Points) is now used across all modes: Solo, Duo and Squad, no matter FPP or TPP. This makes things more streamlined but some players feel confused. Everyone’s RP reset to 1500 at Season 36 start, but after Season 37 it will depend on previous RP only.
There are milestone rewards too for 200-point RP intervals, till 1600. Players need to claim some by themselves but later ones come automatically. Even lobby now shows the highest ranks from the current and past season, making it look cooler.
Duo Now Everywhere, Solo Not in Asia
Developers made Duo mode available in all regions. PC and console have different conditions though. Meanwhile, Solo ranked mode is removed from Asia server, which caused some concerns among players who prefer solo playing.
Black Market 2025 Opened Before Time
Surprisingly, Black Market for 2025 launched earlier than usual. It began on PC on June 11, while the console will join on June 19. The items will be up till July 17. Skins, Chromas, passes, crates and crafting items will come weekly in rotations.
Good news is, players can now buy some items by using G-Coin or BP. This was not possible before, so it’s more flexible now.

Weapon Tweaks and Spawn Rearranged
Some gun stats also got changed. For example, AUG is now little less strong (damage 41 to 40), and VSS has more power (damage 43 to 45). Muzzle Brake now gives more recoil control, increased by 2%. Developers also shifted what guns show up where—some like VSS and Mini‑14 now in all maps, others like DP-28 or Win94 are restricted to maps.
DMR Nerf and Gunplay Lab Tests
DMRs are going through balancing. Most will do less damage (around 12% reduced) and fire slower. Not all affected—Dragunov and Mk14 stay the same. You can try these changes in Gunplay Labs from June 18 to July 2 (PC), and June 26 to July 10 (console).

Vehicle, UI and More Tuning
The reverse speed of vehicles decreased to stop players from misusing it. Throwables and melee now can be used from every seat. Pistols are also now usable while driving boats.
Workshop UI updated, crafting now lets you select up to 50 things together. Weekly mission rewards reset on Wednesdays, giving BP to players. Also, now you can choose BP or G-Coin in some shops, but BP purchases can’t be undone.
With new ranks, weapon tweaks and early arrival of Black Market, Update 36.1 is giving players both surprises and challenges. It’s not all perfect, but changes sure will impact how PUBG plays now.
