Tencent Authorities to Speak to Indian Officials Regarding PUBG Mobile Unban

You might not be able to play PUBG Mobile, however, the game is still working even after a day or two since its ban in India. When any game gets banned, there are many officials involved, and, according to Data Users Act, when someone makes a profile on PUBG the data is highly confidential and can’t be leaked to any third party. Tencent Games gave an official statement that a meeting has been called to decide what should be done for uplifting the ban of PUBG mobile in India.

Tencent Loss of Billions Prior to Ban in India

Tencent has lost about $34 billion in two days which perhaps is a huge loss for the company. India banned many Chinese apps that contribute to the company’s loss. Some PUBG players in India have spent thousands of rupees to buy Royal Passes to get rewards. For the last days, Tencent’s PUBG Mobile and PUBG Mobile Lite have been removed from smartphone stores; both Android and iOS.

Being said that maybe ISP’s will be blocked and it could say the server is not responding. Though the users who have the Tencent’s game installed on their phones are still able to access the game. It is being planned to uplift the ban and Tencent has tried their best by updating their privacy policy last time.

The disputed border issue between India and China has led to the ban. Considering the serious threat to national sovereignty and integrity, Tencent’s PUBG Mobile is now banned in India by the government. Currently, the most played smartphone game PUBG Mobile has 30 million-plus daily active users. India is a huge market for PUBG Mobile which is an online multiplayer battle royal game developed and published Bluehole.
