During the Interview, Goodzin, used racist comments to insult another PUBG Mobile player. As this incident streamed live on Twitch, Tencent Games decided to the player. Moreover, Tencent Games suspended the player for one year from all official tournaments and events.

This suspension effected immediately, on the basis of Article 6.3.3 of the PUBG Mobile Pro League Brazil rulebook. This article says:

“Team Members may not offend the dignity or integrity of a country, person or group of people, through disdainful, discriminatory or slanderous words or actions, due to race; skin color; ethnic, national or social origin; gender; language; religion; political opinion or any other opinion; financial status, birth or any other status; sexual orientation; or for any other reason.”

Tencent Games reiterates that it does not condone any discriminatory conduct and shows solidarity with the victim of the offense. We also ask that, when witnessing behavior similar to what is on the agenda now, report it to the tournament organization.

Therefore, people with a sense of citizenship and respect for others should not condone, disseminate or replicate speeches that promote racial or any other form of discrimination.

Within one year, we have seen many good moves against racism. Last year most of the gaming and esports organizations came together to fight against racism. By this competitive ruling Tencent Games also becomes one of them who take a step to say no to racism.
