One Piece Chapter 1110 is finally out!
One Piece Chapter 1110 is finally out!

One Piece has finally returned after a week long hiatus. Ever since the cliffhanger on chapter 1109 about the mysterious new announcements about to be made by the Genius scientist Vegapunk, and the summoning of the remaing four Gorosei on the future Island of Egghead. This chapter also answers the burning question to what happened to the fight between Zoro and Robb Lucci, since Zoro was seen panting and tired during the fight and fans speculated Zoro was in a tight situation.

While the Japanese chapter is out in the market of which Fan translations have started floating on the internet, in this article we discuss what happens in the story.
Spoiler Alert!

Cover Story No. 26: Vol 2

The cover story 26 which started in with the previous chapter continues in this chapter as well. Chapter is titled PlanetFall or Starfall, whatever you want to call it. The cover story depicts an excited Yamato set to travel to a Pilgrimage at the Holy Inari shrines located in Wano.

Inari Shrine is the same place where the Holy Deity of Wano the White fox resides. While Yamato is excited about the pilgrimage saying she [or he or they whatever you like, to me, she looks like a woman, so I will assume she is one] would travel all over Wano just like Kozuki Oden. But Momonosuke isn’t too happy about this and is making an annoyed face as if he too wants to go, but Oda has chosen to leave it to the reader’s imagination, so I would do the same as well.

Gorosei arrive at Egghead

As we saw in the last chapter, the Gorosei are finally on Egghead. The first panel displays the shock and awe amongst the marines and the giants as they see the lightning over the island of future. In the next panel we see that the Elder’s control room is empty with just a single Den Den Mushi and a big summoning circle.

While Vegapunk’s broadcast is being played over there we hear the Vegapunks talking to each other. One of them asks the Stella what he was doing or making to which Vegapunk explains that he is making a coffee which he names Vega-Coffee. Then again the Stella is asked how many minutes he thinks have passed to which he answers that it’s not exactly a strict time limit, but he thinks about three minutes have passed, but then he tells them that they don’t need to worry, the world government wouldn’t be able to stop the broadcast by then.

On the next panel we are shown the Gorosei who appear out of the summoning circles as the Saint Saturn create the summoning. We are shown each elder’s beast form [since we actually don’t know if it even is a Zoan awakening or something else entirely, and I will not spoil what these monsters do since that can potentially spoil the future story].

  • St. Jaygarcia Saturn’s form is called The Gyuki, which is actually inspired from Japanese folk tales, according to which Gyuki is a spider monster with cow like head.
  • St. Marcus Mars’s form is called the Itsumade. Itsumade is a creepy bird monster with a human face a snake like body.
  • St. Topman Mercury’s form is called the Hoki, which if you have seen Journey to the West movie, or read the book, it’s similar to the Pig monster in it.
  • Then there is St. EthanBaron V. Nusjuro’s beast form is called the Bakotsu which is said to be a horse which was burned alive so only its skeleton remains.
  • Then the last is the Sand Wyrm which is nothing but a Dragon that lives in desert. This is the beast form of St. Shepherd Ju. Peter.

The elders start acting as soon as they step foot on the island, St. V Nusjuro, starts cutting down the Pacifists as where he cuts it becomes frozen a lot like Brook’s Humming swordsman style. St. Marcus Mars on the other hand, flies above the Labophase in order to destroy it. He also plans to target the Strawhat ship. Sanji on the other hand is trying to contact Nami and as soon as they connect, he warns Nami to run away without them, to which Usopp tell Sanji that the ship is fine, and they are ready to set sail but Zoro and Jimbei were missing.

Zoro One shots Lucci

Zoro who has been seemingly losing to Robb Lucci or maybe struggling against him and was being shamed by the community for not being able to handle even Lucci while Sanji was fighting with Kizaru as an equal. As Jimbei who is looking for Zoro finds him he tells Sanji that he is creating problem for everyone and the then goes to call him as a burden. As soon as Zoro hears this from a far, he goes on to do a finishing move and one-shots Lucci clearing all the doubts. On the next panel we see that St. Shepherd Ju Peter tries to attack Luffy and eats it but the Giants Dorry and Broggy arrive and save the day.

And that’s how the chapter ends. I am sure everyone has enjoyed this chapter, and personally I am just too hyped up to see the next chapters. Hope Oda cooks up something to shock us again.
