NODWIN Gaming raises INR 164 Crore investment funds from a popular South Korean developer, KRAFTON. It is known for conceptual and challenging games such as PUBG, Golf King World Tour, and many more.
These funds will significantly impact the further improvement and development of eSports and gaming scenarios. It will also accelerate the growth, supporting talent, improvising technology and intellectuals in South Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
It is the third round of such a significant investment. The first two rounds concluded funds from Nazara Technologies Limited and Jetsynthesis limited by Infosys’s limited Co-Founder Kris Gopalkrishnan. However, Nazara’s investment in NODWIN Gaming in 2018 will continue to hold half of its shares.
“Esports sits at a wonderful intersection of sports, entertainment, and technology where nations such as India can pave the path. With KRAFTON coming on board, we have an endorsement from the mecca of gaming and esports – South Korea, on what we are building from India for the world based on our competence in mobile-first markets,” said Akshat Rathee, co-founder and managing director, NODWIN Gaming.
This investment will lead to massive success for the company. It will also award more people towards eSports and gain interest in South Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
