Champions of Valorant Masters Copenhagen: “FunPlus Phoenix”. FunPlus Phoenix (FPX) has been crowned the champion of the Valorant Champions Tour 2022 (VCT) Stage 2 Masters tournament. The Team Defeated Paper Rex by 3-2 Margin in the Grand Finals to clinch the trophy. FunPlus Phoenix Held their nerve in the all-important decider match to win 13-9 in Breeze against the Singaporean Giants.

12 Teams kicked off the 3 days tournament in the GSL Format on 22nd July. FunPlus Phoenix defeated Paper Rex in the finals to claim the trophy and cash prize worth USD 200,000. Optic Gaming and Fnatic finished the tournament in third and fourth place respectively.

VCT 2022: Stage 2 Masters – Copenhagen Format 

  • Group Stage: Two double-elimination formats (GSL) groups, It consisted of 8 Low Seed teams where Each group has 4 teams. All the matches were played in the Best of three formats. The Top two teams from each group will advance to the Playoffs.
  • Playoffs: The Playoffs had a Double-Elimination bracket where 8 teams, 4 High Seeds, and 4 Qualified teams. All the matches were decided in a Best of three. But, The Lower Final and Grand Final were the Best of the Five.

Prize pool 

  • FunPlus Phoenix Finished 1st and won the Cash prize of $200,000 with 1,000 points.
  • Paper Rex came 2nd and won the cash prize of $120,000 with 750 points.
  • OpTic Gaming was 3rd and won the cash prize of $85,000 with 500 points.
  • Fnatic finished 4th and won $65,000 with 400 points.

SUYGETSU, ardiis, and Shao were the star performers for the team in the Playoffs. The three managed to get 5 MVPs in the Playoffs, Notably, SUYGETSU got 3 MVPs.

The Valorant Masters Copenhagen aired for 86 Hours and had a record 786,185 Peak Viewers and 317,748 Average viewers.
