ESL FACEIT has announced that it would begin a new ESL Pro Tour (EPT) for the well-known MOBA game Dota 2 later this year. So fans of the game are in for a treat. The Pro Tour will span two DreamLeague seasons and conclude with the top teams securing spots at the Riyadh Masters in 2023.

The Pro Tour is described in the press release as follows:

“The ESL Pro Tour combines EFG events in a certain game title into a specialized open circuit in which teams battle their way up to play in a Championship event. The thrilling Dota 2 circuit allows players, fans, and partners to experience more cross-regional tournaments amongst the finest Dota 2 teams in the globe.”

Seasons 19 and 20 of the DreamLeague will be included in the ESL Pro Tour, as was already announced. Although the latter is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, and last until Sunday, June 25, 2023. The former will start on Sunday, April 9, 2023, and last until Sunday, April 23, 2023.

16 Dota 2 teams from across the world will battle it out for two weeks in the DreamLeague seasons. The participating teams will compete remotely from locations around Europe, according to the press release. The EPT Ranking System will be used to choose the clubs that will qualify for the seasons.

The prize pool for each DreamLeague season will be $1,000,000. The champion from seasons 19 and 20 as well as the season 20 runner-up will all compete in the Riyadh Masters in 2023.

The Riyadh Masters 2023 competition would only accept the top five teams overall throughout two seasons, according to the press release. Its massive $15,000,000 prize pool is the sum amount for the competition. From Monday, July 17, 2023, through Sunday, July 30, 2023, is when the event is supposed to happen. It will take place in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, throughout the Gamers8 event.
