The latest season of Call of Duty: Mobile, it’s bringing a unexpected collaboration. In Season 5, named Primal Reckoning players will now seen elements from NieR: Automata, a famous action-RPG game by Square Enix. It’s a new way to experience both franchises, if you are fans of them or even just curious.
A Futuristic-Looking Theme Comes In
In Season 5, the theme is more darker and cybernetic than before, maybe inspired directly by NieR’s bleak atmosphere. This time the battle pass is filled with cosmetic rewards, like weapons, COD Points, operators, and such things which are similar as always, but more robotic-looking.
Among the biggest additions are 2B and 9S, android characters from NieR: Automata. They’ve been brought into the game as operator skins with full appearance and voice-lines. It makes the game feel like something different even though the gameplay’s same like before.

Weapons, Looks, and Some Other Items
The crossover gives several content items too, for those who likes collections. Some of the more special ones are:
-
Skins for 2B and 9S: Very close to the original game designs. Their outfits and movements are detailed, which fans will maybe recognize.
-
Weapon blueprints: Special guns like the “Virtuous Rifle,” glowing with white effects, and a special melee sword called “YoRHa Blade”.
-
Extra cosmetics: Like new emotes and calling cards that having artwork and designs taken from the NieR world.
These are gotten through events, crates or lucky draws, depending on your availability or preference.
New Event: YoRHa Infiltration
There is also a limited event named YoRHa Infiltration, which is a mission-based content where you have to finish objectives—some might be using specific guns or just playing matches. By completing them, players earn tokens that can redeem exclusive rewards, although some might require more grinding than others. It is only available for short time so if interested, don’t forget to check it early.
Blending of Two Different Universes
While Call of Duty is mostly realistic shooting game, this crossover feels kind of like a unexpected turn. But somehow, it don’t feel too out of place. 2B running through maps like Nuketown is strange, but enjoyable. This could be something that longtime players or anime-style fans will both find good.
