Alliance Roster Update

The popular Swedish esports organization is rebuilding its Valorant roster in preparation for the next Valorant Champions Tour season. Alliance parted ways with Niels “luckeRRR” Jasiek, Tautvydas “hype” Paldavicius, Enzo “Fearoth” Mestari, and Sigurd “Zik” Jensen.

Their goal is to assemble a new team with a heavy focus on the Nordic region. The only two remaining members are Mathias “SEIDER” Seider and the team’s coach Casper “Desmo” Rasmussen.

What’s Next for Alliance?

Alliance have addressed these new roster changes and expressed its desire to form a Nordic-focused team in the future. Their goal is to prepare well for the next Valorant Champions Tour season, but in the meantime, they’ll pursue other directions.

The Alliance Chief Strategy Officer and Co-owner, Kelly Ong Xiao Wei, made some comments about the roster change:

Alliance will be seeking another direction for the upcoming months while preparing for next year’s VCT circuit.

This means Alliance won’t be pursuing this year’s VCT season and will be missing all the VCT action until next year. While this will be devastating news for their fans, they’ll still have the chance to follow their women’s Valorant team, Alliance. Coven, who is still going strong in the VCT 2022: Game Changers EMEA Series 2.

Kelly Ong also stated how they’re focused on finding teams for the four players in question:

We fell just short of a chance to be on the next step of the competitive stage, so during the off-season we focused on finding transfers for them to teams that are in VCT because they deserve it.

A Full Danish Lineup

Looks like we’ll be able to see the new Danish Valorant lineup sooner than we anticipated. We can expect to see the team in action in the second season of VRL Polaris where the new team is expected to compete for the first time. The tournament begins on May 16th, so we expect Alliance to announce the full lineup within the next week or so.

The official Alliance post also mentioned:

The first part of the new journey will start with season two of VRL Polaris where they will be competing with a full danish lineup. This is only the start and their sights are firmly set on making it to the biggest stage; VCT for the next season.

This confirms we won’t be seeing Alliance in the VCT until the next season, but they’ll still be actively competing in Valorant esports in different smaller tournaments. This could be a healthy move for the organization as it will give them enough time to sort things out and prepare properly. The team can also practice without any pressure.
