One of the most important features of Free Fire that sets apart it from other mobile games is its Character System. Garena Free Fire has a wide variety of characters. There is a total of 37 characters in the game with their unique abilities. In this article, we are going to compare Skyler with the most recent addition to Free Fire, Chrono.
Chrono and Skyler: Abilities in Free Fire
- Chronosโ ability -Time Turner

The in-game description of Chrono reads: โChrono is a bounty hunter from another universeโ
Chrono has an active ability called โTime-Turnerโ. This ability develops a force field around the character that blocks up to 600 points of damage from enemies. His skill enables him to fire at the rivals even being inside the force field.
The playersโ and his teammatesโ movement speed boost by 15% and 10%. The effect of this ability will remain for 4 seconds and has a cooldown of 50 seconds. At max level, movement speed boost by 15% and 10%. The effect will remain for 9 seconds and has a cooldown of 40 seconds. Chronosโ skill is helpful in both offensive and defensive plays.
- Skylersโ ability โ Riptide Rhythm

The in-game description of Skyler reads: โSkyler is a CEO and superstarโ.
Skyler has an active ability called โRiptide Rhythmโ. This ability allows him to unleash a sonic wave that damages five gloo walls within a radius of 50m. Each gloo wall deployed will boost the playerโs HP recovery, beginning from 4 points. However, this ability has a cooldown of 60 seconds. At max level, the radius increases to 100 meters. The HP recovery also boosted to 9 points, and the cooldown duration decreased to 40 seconds.
Verdict
In Classic and Clash Squad modes, both the characters are valuable. But if we compare them based on Factory Challenge, Chrono is better than Skyler.
In Factory Challenge, there is the least use of gloo walls as most of the battles involve melee weapon. Meanwhile, Chronoโs ability provides safety and boosts movement speed, which makes him a great character for the factory challenge.
