COD Mobile’s new event “Year of the Ox” is out with a fantastic feature of availing AK47:Year of the Ox for free with other unique rewards. Players have to complete various missions under the “Year of the Ox” event. This event provides free crates to the players upon the completion of tasks.
Crates are purchasable items in COD Mobile. Due to its probability-based algorithm, sometimes players have to burn through quite a lot of money to get their desired items. Because of this drawback players are eager to get their hands on Crates for free in the “Year of the Ox” event in COD.
Players can buy Crates from COD’s stock costing 20 CP for each crate. Ten Crates are available for 180 CP. Players can also purchase free AK47 by collecting an exact number of points.
In short, I suggest players should buy crates and other rewards, including AK47 by completing the missions instead of spending in-game currency. The “Year of the Ox” event in COD mobile is active till February 18, 2021.
How to get free AK47 in the Year of the Ox event in COD
The “Year of the Ox” event in COD comes with a feature where players can avail themselves of AK47 for free. Follow the guide below to get an AK47 for free:
1: Open the Home screen of the COD Mobile and click on the Event button
2: Now click on the Featured button.
3: There you’ll be able to see an event called “Year of the Ox”. From here you can get free crates.
4: After acquiring several crates, you may get the AK47 for free when you open the crates.
Players should collect all the ten crates first and then use them at the same time to get an AK47 in the “Year of the Ox”. Currently, four crates are available in this event. Players require 60 points for the first crate, 80 for the second, 90 for the third and, 100 points for the fourth one.

Players can achieve a total of 130 points by completing below given challenges.
- Login for three days (+20 points)
- Assassinate ten enemies using Pistol during Gunfight matches (+10 points)
- Kill 30 enemies using SMGs in Free during all matches (+10 points)
- Assassinate 10 enemies using Operator Skills during Kills Confirmed matches (+10 points)
- Plant the bomb five times in S&D matches (+20 points)
- Defuse the bomb five times in S&D matches (+20 points)
- Catch the point ten times during Hard-point matches (+10 points)
- Achieve five Hard-point matches (+10)
- Assassinate ten enemies using Score-streaks during TDM matches (+10 points)
- Assassinate 30 enemies during Frontline matches (+10 points)
