Shield Keg Fortnite: Finally Fortnite has added the new Shield Keg item to the game. We actually see this Shield Sprinkler in the Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 Trailer. It was the first time that Fortnite revealed this item officially. Now it is finally added to the game.
It comes under the category of healing item in Fortnite Battle Royale. This Shield Keg Fortnite item is a bit stronger than other healing items that are present in the game. It is also known as Shield Sprinkler. Fortnite has called it Shield Keg in the game but mentioned it as Shield Sprinkler on their Offical Twitter account.

Firstly, this Shield Keg is added to the game in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 during Content Update v19.01. It is a throwable item that increases your shield in the game. This Shield Keg Fortnite item is a bit different from other healing items because it heals up everyone at the same time who is in the specified range of this Shield Sprinkler.
The in-game description of this Shield Keg states, “Rapidly restores shields to everyone nearby”. As mentioned it restores the shields of everyone who is near to it and hence it implies that it will restore the shield of your opponent also. If you know how to use it properly then it is an amazing unique health item that is added to the game till now.
Moreover, it comes under rare rarity in the Fortnite Battle Royale. In order to use it, you will be required to throw it and it will automatically start sprinkling the shield within the radius of 1-tile. You can also ping this Fortnite Shield Keg which is useful for telling your teammates the exact location of this sprinkler where you have deployed it. It increases your 4 shields per second.

Shield kegs can be found in Chests, as floor loot, and in Supply Drops. There are many ways to get this brand new Shield keg healing item in the game. Apart from this, there are two NPCs who actually sell this Fortnite Shield keg to the players in the game. The two NPCs from which you can purchase them are Lt. John Llama and The Scientist.
Hence in case, you are not able to find these Shield keg then you can simply purchase them from Lt. John Llama and The Scientist for gold bars. It is a great way to get these brand new Fortnite Shield keg in the game.
