The greatest accolade for any esports team or individual engaged with the game, the PUBG Mobile Global Championship, also known as PMGC, is returning for 2022. Officials in China announced the PMGC 2022: Format, Schedule, and More on their social media accounts before anybody else did, along with a timeline for the Chinese qualifying process. Peace Elite, the organization in charge of overseeing Game For Peace made the official announcements.
This year’s PMGC prize pool amounts to approximately $4 million. The prize pool is down from last year’s enormous $6 million total, but it is still a substantial sum. Teams will engage in a brutal competition for a piece of the prize money.
PMGC 2022: Format and Schedule
Chinese teams will have more seats available in PMGC 2022, and there will be a new qualification process. Rumors suggest that the PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC) 2022 Grand Finals will happen on January 23, 2023. The tournament will begin on November 22, 2022. The top sides from the league stage will fight in the grand finals to win the trophy and the majority of the $4 million prize pool after the league stage, which will last for a month, concludes. The PEL 2022 Summer champion will receive a straight invite to the PMGC Grand Finals under the revised qualification procedure. While the second- and third-placed clubs will be given invitations to participate in league play. There’ll be one spot left to compete for among the 18 remaining teams.
A regional qualifier will be held in the fall. The top team from the region will advance as the final Chinese team. Later in the year as the year goes on, more information regarding the qualifications will be made available.
