The Witcher was released in 2007. It is an action role-playing game developed for Microsoft Windows by CD Projekt Red and OS X by CD Projekt. The game is based on fantasy novel series by Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski. The story of the game takes place after the events of the main saga. The positive reviews and critics after the release in Windows and OS X received an aggregate score of 81/100 on Metacritic. The franchise decided to release a console version named The Witcher: Rise of White Wolf, but it was later suspended due to payment problems with console developers Widescreen Games. The Witcher franchise tweeted about the new witcher game on March 21st, 2022. The tweet was then retweeted by CD Projekt Red Twitter handle. Speculations are this will be the best game of the franchise yet. There has been a lot of comments and quoted retweets since then.
What Do We Know About The New Witcher Game Yet?
Twitter has been flourished since the official announcement of the game. The Witcher fans are excited to witness the revolution as promised by The Witcher franchise. The Witcher franchise has said that this game will be a kickoff to the new saga to the franchise. The player base is expecting it to be inspired by the Assassins Creed franchise.
Recently, Assassins Creed had released Assassins Creed: Valhalla, which was based on a snowy island. According to the poster released, it can be predicted that it is going to be a winter map and a bit different from other Witcher games.

The franchise has also announced that they will be moving from REDengine to Unreal Engine 5, as they had announced their partnership with Epic Games earlier this year. They have also said that it will not only cover the future versions of Unreal Engine but also the future versions of Unreal Engine.
The New Witcher Game is still under development and the details on the release window and platforms remain under wraps, but we can assume that the new game is at least a few years away and exclusive to the new-gen console PC. We will get more details about the game soon!
