Traditional 1v1 Gulag matches have just been revealed by Infinity Ward and Raven Software for Warzone 2. At the moment, a 2v2 format is used to host the battle royale game Gulag. Gulag in Warzone 2 has drawn criticism from fans for its structure. Players now have to rely on their teammates to survive Gulag. Which has made the 2v2 format and the jailer’s inclusion less competitive.

As was already noted, Gulag matches in Warzone 1 were played 1v1. Because of this, the games were very competitive, and the outcome of the brawl was entirely up to the players.

1v1 Gulag has Returned to Warzone 2

1v1 Gulags is scheduled to return to the game with the release of Season 2. As stated by the tweets from Infinity Ward and Raven Software. It was planned for the following Season to debut on February 1st, 2023. However, the creators have revealed that Season 2 will debut on February 15, 2023, pushing it back by more than two weeks.

The popular Resurgence mode will return in the forthcoming Season, along with a number of new game types, maps, and other features.
