Warzone 2 was the final Call of Duty game to be published; Modern Warfare 2 had been launched two weeks previously on November 16, 2022. Activision had initially intended for the new MW game to have a two-year cycle for DLC, but once it was released, those intentions appeared to have altered.

To launch a brand-new premium game in 2023, Activision reportedly changed its approach in late 2022, according to a Bloomberg article. Activision had to abandon its original intention to release a major expansion for its most recent game, which would have added a ton of new material and energized the player base.

According to speculations before the release of Modern Warfare 2, the game will have a two-year cycle with frequent content updates, luring people to buy it since there wouldn’t be any new games available in 2023. The plot of MWII would be continued, and numerous additional maps and multiplayer modes would be included as part of a single large paid Update.

The most recent leaks and speculations imply that a new Call of Duty game is in the works for 2023. This is because publishers decided during production that the material for the anticipated DLC was adequate to be offered as a whole game.

The upcoming game’s name and release date haven’t received any official announcements from the publishers or creators, but several speculations point to a November release and claim that the game’s Alpha, Beta, and Campaign Early Access are already scheduled.

Speculation is that the game’s Alpha will be accessible from 26 May to 2 June, the beta’s Weekends 1 and 2 will take place from 6 to 10 October and 12 to 16 October, respectively, and the campaign’s early access will begin on 2 November 2023. On November 10, 2023, the game is supposed to be fully published.
